chnage kitchen door whats easier

I am having my kitchen done soon.
The door currently opens into the kitchen which means there is dead space behind it.
I would like to change it so it opens outwards.
Is it easy to do this or put in a sliding door?

We used an ordinary door (new) and made it sliding in our son's first house, he had a very small kitchen. We used Acme sliding track/rollers from Woodfit. You need to have enough totally empty wall on one side for the door to slide over. His was fitted on the dining room side. We had the builders leave the door off, they just made the usual opening.
To change a door from inward to outward opening you would need to reposition the hinges, move the doorstops to the kitchen side of the opening, and make a new hole for the latch to engage in.0 -
Its quite a straightforward job as jennifer says. Its DIYable or a chippy / handyman should charge you about £50.00Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
