Fantastic news! - I am starting with Capital One (have to do it a bit at a time in case people start closing cards down on me!) and have just had their acknowledgment to my request for statements. Did they mention closing your accoutn at all or do they not do that until the paymetn has gone through does anyone know? Also does anyone know if HAlifax close your current account if you claim back from the credit card?

I think you just probably need to check with each company on CAG and see what they're doing regarding accounts. I'm only claiming with one bank but am petrified they're gonna close the account and demand the O/D!!

I am not sure if they are closing the account themselves but I am sure I am closing it LOL
I want nothing more to do with them once this is all settled---I have approx £800 outstanding so I assume they will clear that and send me a cheque for the remainder.

By the way---it took me 2 months from start to finish so not bad eh?????

Thats really fab news and I am sure it will inspire others to claim their charges back. I don't have any bank charges but am really pleased you posted your good news because hearing about the consumer winning is great and now people who were nervous about fighting will hopefully follow your story and fight back.
