I Won Back My Charges!!!!yipee

Hi
I thought I would just let everyone know that I won back my charges that had accrued with Capital One----total of £891 including interest and the court fee of £80!!!
I am sooo chuffed
obviously i havent received the monies yet but the letter arrived for me to sign this morning saying that I will get a full settlement once i return the letter signed!!!!
I am soooo happy!!
To anyone thinking of claiming bank charges/credit card charges back GO FOR IT---it is soo worth it!!
I owe Capital One about £800 so it will wipe out this debt!!
Also a big thanks to Crawley Girl who worked out my interest for me---I hope you read this post!!!
A huge thanks to everyone who advised me how to go about claiming it back----and a huge thanks to everyone that helped me on the other board!!!!

I'm considering reclaiming bank charges from Intelligent finance...but not sure! I think it's only £90.00 in last six years and i am really worried that it will effect my credit rating which is V Good at present. I have a new current account with A & L which I am swapping over at the moment...so will have an account to go to if they close my IF account...but just don't know if it is worth the hassle or the risk??? what do you guys think???

    Hi
Dottyanne--I was pointed in the direction of the Consumer action group----it is a brilliant forum with all the help you need on there.
Initially I wrote to Capital One and requested all my statements back dated 6 years(and it didnt cost me anything to get them back!!)
    They were very quick
I then worked out what they owed me and wrote them the first letter which is on the board.
It is all written out and you just need to amend it to suit yourself. You then get your reply and send them the second letter on there. And, if like myself you still get no joy you go ahead with taking them to Court(all the details are on the board---sounds daunting but it really is very straightforward). My post is on the board so you can read that and get some ideas(same user name).
Looneyleo ----not sure what to advise if it is only for £90.00
hope someone else comes along that may have made a small claim---or try the Consumer action group.
