£60 a month is laughable as is £100 or £3 a day. Perhaps £100 a month could be done but it would be near torture. In addition, the OP is going to be a student so there will be some eating out to do.
Yes you do!!!
I spend no more than £100 per week on food and that includes food for taking into work etc. It's probably closer to £80.0 -

It must vary from person to person. Me and OH eat pretty well I would say, but we budget carefully and meal plan so we don't waste food, and we never spend more than £100 for both of us. This includes fresh meat, fish and some organic veg, organic milk, though by choice we have a couple of meat free days each week. It doesn't include takeaways or meals out though. For a single person who budgets carefully I would say that £20 a week, or £80 a month is definitely possible as long as they planned and budgeted carefully.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0
