Hi is there any good free internet sercurity programs, with firewalls, i'm running norton at the moment but it slows my computer down so much.

Plenty of free/next to free security utilities out there, most of which are listed on the sticky thread. The usual suspects are:-
Anti-Virus (remember only run one A-V product at any time on a machine):
1. AVG
2. AVAST
Personal Firewall
1. Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall
2. Zone Alarm Personal Firewall.
Top that off with some spyware protection and you're covered:
1. SpywareBlaster
2. SpyBot Search and Destroy
3. Ad-aware0
