Firstly I am really sorry to be asking this as I know this subject has been discussed over and over but I am still not sorted out in this house
I have sky plus with single input and eyes to 3 other tv's. prior to the switch off I would watch terrestrial when my son wanted the sky, obviously I can't do that and now it's a battle for the sky.
What do I buy so that when he has the sky I can see see all the other channels too? is it possible to buy a set top box and plug it into a tv upstairs without removing the sky connection or have I to start fiddling about removing the sky and replacing it back after (oh I am so sick of all this)
Please can someone help me with a simple solution before I go mad with it all:eek:

The magic eye will only ever provide the channel you're currently watching on Sky.
Does your son watch/need the subscription channels?
If you both want to watch different subscription channels, the only route is Multiroom.
If he's happy with FTA (free to air) channels you'll need a feed from the aerial with a Freeview box or another feed from the dish with an old Sky box or a Freesat box.
Has your TV not got a Freeview tuner? If your aerial is good enough for digital broadcasts, you can pick up a freeview box for around £20 these days.Dave. :wave:0 -

Aaaah costly.

Sadly, he is not.

No, all 4 are oldish, aerial is latest spec, just put in. So do i need to get a new tv, can i not put the box to my old style tv's? and if so do I pull out the sky first?

Yes. A freeview STB will connect into the old TV's.can i not put the box to my old style tv's?
That'll depend on your TV. The Sky box will connect to your TV by SCART. The STB will too. Does your TV have 2 SCART inputs? If not, you could use a SCART splitter.and if so do I pull out the sky first?Dave. :wave:0 -
Or you could get a TVOnics Freeview STB that connects to the existing aerial input on your old TVs, leaving your Sky SCART connections untouched. Excellent piece of kit btw, I have three.
