Dixons Online - Bit of a vent

We ordered a Fridge Freezer and a Tom Tom (Total cost of over £700)from them on 27th December and they offered us delivery of 31st December. Great we thought! So today, I empty the WHOLE cupboard out where the Fridge Freezer is going, do batch cooking for the new freezer as it's larger and I thought I would get organised before going back to work! We had a confirmation email on the day we ordered it but nothing since so we looked on their website earlier and it said to check back tonight - so we did............only to find the order had been CANCELLED!!!! :mad: So I call them and the boy on the phone would not let me speak - said it was in stock when we ordered it but had since gone out of stock. I asked him WHAT was out of stock and he said the Fridge - so what about the Tom Tom I ask - he doesnt know!!!!!! I told him maybe he should think about finding out becuse if it HAS been sent we might not know if we receive it or not! That soon shifted his butt into gear. They are BOTH out of stock!!!!!!
But they were so IN stock 3 days ago when it gave us our delivery date.......he refused to put me through to his team leader saying they weren't there - even though he had referred to them re the TomTom 20 secs earlier and then they were on a call!!!!!!!!
So now - I have a tonne of food - a whole cupboard in the kitchen and nothing coming tomorrow! Now we can't get it before going back to work. We were going to order a washing machine from them too but they can shove that where the sun isn't shining!
I cannot believe they have a system like this - I asked what he was going to do about the situation and he said - oh we will refund you - Damn bloomin straight you will - I wouldn't sell you something and take the money if I didn't have it to begin with - surely that's fraud!
And not even to let us know so we could make alternative arrangements - i am SO MAD!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
