How good is Bluehost?

I'm setting up a webcomic, and a friend who also runs one recommended using bluehost.com. It works out at about £4/month, with everything included, and they have a strong replication for customer service and no down time.
Do you think this is worth it, or is there anything cheaper?
Thank you!

I have never heard of them, but a recommendation is always a good start when looking at a hosting company.
They are US based but 24/7 support so should not have any problems with that. A fast & not overloaded server on a fast connection in the US will be no different to most users than a fast & not overloaded server in the UK. However there are UK based hosts with everything you need for less, do a search on this forum to find more info. The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.
