flippin football - two early goals meant everytime I was ready to place my in-play bet, the odds changed and I had to start again! Finally managed to place a crappy odds bet for a profit of about £5+ but could have had rather more if only I had had about half a minute more available to me! I was tempted to mug punt instead of having all the hassle, but then I might have come out of it with a small loss, so persevered.

Ah well, c'est la vie! Still free money, so can't complain.

Have spent the last few hours trying to do car insurance quotes - I have managed (I think) to get about £80 lower than my renewal notice, although no cashback offers that work in my favour, so that is quite acceptable......I just need to check my no claims discount before I go ahead, but that will be another job off the list.

£80 less is a good haul, hypno, well done - and you have my admiration for doing an in-play bet, I wouldn't dare..........

I have to have my broker do it all for me as nowhere seems to do taxi insurance on price comparisons...

Its not a job I enjoy doing at all, but at least it is a job that is worth the effort in terms of moneysaving!

Morning everyone - Monday morning so the start of another week, but more importantly we are now in March. The crapness of February is behind us all, and it is time to look foward to Spring and things being much better and brighter.

10p only on scratches, and nothing untoward in the banking. I've got a small mystery shop to do after work this evening which will cover a few groceries nicely, and I have already got my packed lunch made, in order to save me considering spending unnecessarily.

March will, hopefully, see me being able to refine my SOA and do my proper budgets, as I finally get the new mortgage sorted, and we get told of new council tax amounts etc.

It is also my month of spring cleaning.....making sure that by Easter, I am organised in my house. In particular, all paperwork and filing will be sorted and shredded or filed by the end of the month - it is my big target project as there is so much paper that I am keeping for no reason other than not having been bothered to do anything with it earlier.

Work will also be busy this month as we approach the end of the tax year, so I must stay focused and remember just how important my job is to the success of this whole situation.

And of course, I am changing the way I eat, and am now 6 days into WW.....by the end of March, I hope to be heading towards 10 st 7lbs.

    Bring it on.......:)

Morning - the start of a new month - the sun is shining here thank goodness.

March will be so so so much better then February and January (lets face it, it couldn't be any worse!)

Glad to hear you so upbeat and positivie Hypno - I'm in the shredding mode too - I have found mum kept paperwork going back to the 1980's including all my dads tax returns and he died in 1996. May have to invest in a commerical shredder !!!

Here's to a good day everyone
    xx
