Hi guys - I am about, and very grateful for the virtual hugs etc. Rather fragile for various reasons, but also because today is the anniversary of losing my Dad - 5 years - if someone had said 5 years and 1 day ago, that life would have changed so much in the next 5 years, I would have said don't be so bloody daft......just goes to show - what do we really know?

So, I have a lot to deal with......some extra stuff that has been dragged up and therefore needs to be dealt with, and a whole lot of emotional crap just to get to grips with.

Am at work today, so generally keeping busy, but my priority has to be just to get through.

Plans are afoot for the future, though.......I am not using the time away just to mope (although a fair amount of it has been spent cuddled up under the duvet, watching the olympics, with a hot water bottle).

Thanks for keeping the seat warm xx

    Have another :grouphug: xx

Are you enjoying the Winter Olympics? I saw the womens' sprint skiing last night - never seen that before - looks seriously hard work!

Oh yes.......my two don't do downhill because you are not allowed to until age 16 minimum......but if you watch the Giant Slalom, or the Slalom, and the Super G......that is what mine do.

Although I have to admit watching the crashes last night was not fun - both mine have had spectacular crashes, but amazingly it is only me that has ever ended up with anything broken - but you do have moments when you see these guys crash into the netting etc that you wonder, as a mother, what the heck you are letting your kids get up to :o

    Hello Hypno

I'm glad you've posted. So sorry, though, that the anniversary of your dad's death is mingling with all the present day stuff you've got to go through, *and* the dragged up stuff too.

    Lots of hugs.

Oooh yes, I saw all the crashes last night. The poor Swiss woman

The women's downhill looked tougher and faster than the men's! Lindsey Vonn was amazing - it really got the adrenalin pumping - I was on the edge of my seat!

Busy here, getting ready for flying back tomorrow. Just finished the washing, still got the dreaded ironing to do.

Just done an amazon order to pick up when we're back, and £90 of it was paid for using free bingo site vouchers, it's so nice when you don't use real money :) Amended my total in the sig to include the saving.

OH just phoned the hotel to ask for the same room as last time, not sure if we'll get the same room, but they did say they've allocated us an 'executive room' :) With the loyalty scheme they'd normally only do a free upgrade to business, so hopefully it will be a real treat staying there.

Fridge is fairly bare now, so won't have to throw anything away that would have gone off before our return.

Hoping to fit in a walk to burn off some calories, and still got the yoga to do.

Hope you're managing to fit in some runs & yoga Hypno, it really will help you deal with the stress.

Hope things get worked through quickly Hypno.

Extra thoughts and hugs Hypno at this time. I've just been through the anniversary of my dads death too recently (6 years now) can't begin to imagine how you must feel on top of everything else.

    Sofa+duvet+winter olympics = absolute winning combo :)

I'll watch out for those - I was thinking about you and yours when I was watching it last night, wondering what 'event' they actually did.

Well there is risk in everything - better that it's in something they love and is good for them!
