yeah it should state on your confirmation what accomodation it is
we have had caravans in July & Oct

no we have never bothered to upgrade,we have always found it clean and tidy and fine for our needs TBH

the heating ( in lounge area) works well which is good as we go in Oct usually ! but we do take a small heater for the bedrooms as there isn't any heating in there

We take our own bedding as French sites only supply blankets ! and pillows

we take sleeping bags for the boys usually as it's easier !
