I really wanted to get Mon-Fri in May half term in North West / Wales / Scotland and I can't find anything. Am I asking too much? Anyone have any tips?

edit - looks like only available for fri - mon if your 1/2 term is very end of May. Loads of availability for 24th May though.

OMG, I just priced up the holiday we booked, to book direct including same ferry crossing: £1,031.84 (at exchange rate 1.1332). We saved £710.34 :eek:

All the more for wine and cheese :T

Thanks Rosered but we have very end of May half term so as you say Daily Mail is no go. Have to be at wedding in North West on Saturday and thought we'd take a break up that way after that. Thought if we got in early we had a good chance. A bit optimistic me thinks.

I did the same and checked out how much the butlins one would have been straight through them, £600.80!!!!!:eek: Saved a lot (did go half board though).

Keep trying if you can't get your first choice - it's taken me half an hour, but managed in the end. Tip: keep the date and park that you want - it doesn't matter if it's first, second or third choice, and then choose 2 other dates that will be popular (eg Summer/Easter). If your choice doesn't come up, keep changing the other dates/parks. If nothing comes up in the search, it means that it will definately not be available HOWEVER, I tried Craig Tara, and it said nothing was available, BUT when I took the upgrade option out, then it gave me the holiday!
Whew - all booked now, thank goodness!

yes it took me a few attempts to get exactly what i wanted altho i got the place i wanted and not in a tent i had t b flexible wi the date and is kinda nearly a month earlier than wanted....but all in all amd happy and especially wi price
