Unable to get on some websites

Hi there

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I am unable to access the argos website and also homebase.

I know that the two stores are owned by the same company - I try to go to their website but the load bar only goes about 1/2 way then stalls. Looking at some items on the homebase site I see that the site refers to the argos site for prices......

I can get on the homebase website if I clear my cookies & temp internet files but after only a few pages it jams up again.

All other websites are fine - its very strange??

Have you tried restarting your router - assuming of course you have one.

Thanks both for taking the time to reply.

I am on mobile broadband dongle. Would this mean I dont have a router?

Apologies - I'm not very techie - another browser - does that mean instead of internet explorer I use another? What would I use and how could I do it?

    Sorry for being dense x

    Correct, you don't have a router :)

Thanks again - if I download this can I switch between IE and Firefox or will I be permanently on Firefox? You wouldn't believe the hassle I had getting the 3 mobile broadband to work with IE - it appeared to be at odds with something and it took lots of playing about with the settings to get it right. Its ok now and works with all except these 2 websites - I don't want to cause myself more hassle in the long run x
