Pruhealth - Penalising People Splitting Up

Hi,
I've been a policy holder with Pruhealth for the last 2-3 years along with my partner. He is the main member on the policy and I'm a family member. Together we got to Platinum status and managed to reduce our premium considerably.
Now I wish to split from his policy and take out an individual cover.
I contacted Pruhealth and they told me that doing that will have the following effect:
1. I will loose my status, benefits and discounts. I will need to pay full price and start my point collection from scratch.
2. My partner will retain all his benefits and discount (and will need to work a bit harder to retain his Platinum status but that's all).
I believe that this is punitive and unfair. I earned my status and benefits just as my partner did and now that I want an individual policy they say their system can't handle it and they can't transfer anything over.
When we both moved in the past from Corporate to Personal policy, they were able to transfer some of the benefits over. I asked why they can't do it now and they said that it is a manual process they are not willing to undertake for Joint to Individual transfer.
They said I could complain to the Financial Ombudsman - which I did.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or encountered a similar issue and solved it?
I'll be grateful for any advice.
