    Hi

Are people noticing that there are more and more non-payers on e-bay? I'm thinking of restricting buyers to maybe >100 trades, what are your views?

    Sal

    You can't unfortunately.

I normally find January pretty good especially first fortnight. February was always the killer month.

My figures show that to be the case as well. I wonder if it is because in January people still haven't had their credit card bills so are still in spending mood. Come February all the bills are in and it looks bleak.

Shifted some stuff over the past couple of days that I had had hanging about for ages. It was on its final listing before being written off and taken to charity shop.It didn't even go at opening price, I had people competing to buy this stuff that I could barely give away before. Madness!

I've also had a tentative enquiry from a business about some of my stock asking in a round about way (probably in case ebay catch them) whether they could buy from me direct. Again this is old stuff, I was preparing to get rid of it as I thought I had missed my market, so I have replied with a cautious 'how much for the lot?'. It has to be a wind up..I've had this stock for years and was honestly not going to bother listing it anymore.

  • Ebay isn't as good as it once was. All businesses now on there. Right now i am trying to find audiobooks read by Vincent Price and normally these would be easy to come by, not anymore though. Your average seller can no longer afford to sell things cheaply.

Looking at the few on Amazon it looks like many of the old audio books on cassettes have not been released on CD. Even Amazon catalogue are showing only a handful.

Is it more likely that these things are rare, rather than people can't afford to sell? I get audio books in my lots I buy, and in all the several hundred I've coem across I don't recall ever seeing a Vincent Price one.

What a sweeping statement with no evidence. Compared to a few years ago its actually cheaper to list on ebay now. The FVF may have increased but listing prices have dramatically gone down
