I think you need to do some more research on this.

Have you spoken to Graco? Ask them what it comes with (don't mention where you have bought it) the Graco website is pretty poor.

Check other retailers and go in and see where it says seat separate.

Not sure you should give up just yet.

No we havent spoke to graco yet, I will check out some other websites and see what they say

They are going to give you a second-hand seat base? It could have been dropped and thrown around anywhere. Surely that's just like buying a second-hand car seat (ie, not advisable)? It's worth making some further enquiries before you accept a second-hand base.

From what I have read, the general consensus with Toys R Us is that their customer service is the pits.

I think the point is, that you may get the display one but you have no idea of how it has been handled or how long its been on display. For all you know the base could have be dropped repeatedly by a 'butter fingered' staff member trying to set the display up. I am inclined to agree with others, return the whole lot for a full refund and order it online.

ETA: I have also seen an offer online for Toys R Us that is not available instore and been told that online offers are not always offered instore.

    Congrats on the lil one!!

Mine is 2 and a half (doesn't seem 5 mins ago since he was born). He is into his 3rd pram already lol. Had a Graco at first (2nd hand) and it did do the job, especially with the base, and getting him in and out of dad's car. I needed a stroller though after a while, soooo much easier when in the shops!
