Yeah, I only had about £3.5-4k to begin with though. I could pay it off, but then my 'house renovation savings would go down and I can't do that. This house drives me mad. I just want somewhere nice to 'live' rather than feel like I'm just 'existing' somewhere carp.Wish I had gwen's debtI am so far from being debt free
Yeah, it's low, but I've got so much work to do on this house, it's unreal. It could really do with gutting and starting again. If it wasn't terraced (and possibly because it's illegal), I'd consider torching it

Morning! That's great stuff, hate to think what mines going to be as def a rise this year
Echo what others say, don't beat yourself up. You're right in that sometimes task can be too big.....like others have said tomorrow (today) is another day and perhaps try and break it down into smaller pieces....for instance, for today just concentrate on drinking x amount of water....tomorrow aim for a healthy breakfast and x amount of water and then the next day a healthy breakfast, healthy lunch and x amount of water.....and so on adding healthy dinner and then exercise......it works for me sometimes when I get into a rut. I even tend to say ok i'm going to eat healthy for breakfast and lunch all week and end up having healthy dinners anyway but if I don't then I don't beat myself up as that wasn't the plan - hope that makes some sense?? They say it good to have a balance of 80/20 - so just make yesterday part of your 20% bad of the week ??
Hope you are feeling better and have a good day xx0 -
Thanks Karen - very sensible advice :ASometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0

Feeling better today
Got my head straight - new day, new planBack to baby steps, small things each day, a few treats, some pampering - just being kind to myself
I read somewhere (?) about following the advice you would give to a friend in the same situation - I certainly wouldn't tell a friend that there are fat and hopeless - and would never achieve anything
