Unless, of course, you park where the blue badge scheme does not apply. Like off street car parks.dont park in disabled bays unless you have a disabled badge. and the badge holder is in the car.
[meerkat mode] SimplesMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

I'd like to see more clamping of the selfish / lazy gits that think it's OK to park in disabled spaces when they are able bodied - I don't give a damn whether you think it's "legal" or not - morally, they deserve all they get!:hello:0 -
You are confusing morals with the law. This is a parking forum not a philosophical one.0

And whilst I do not in any way agree with your opinion I nevertheless entirely support your democratic right to voice them.Tiddlywinks wrote: »No confusion here - those who abuse spaces reserved for the disabled are selfish / lazy gits - clamp 'em!
BTW - this is a public forum, so I get to have my say too..... live with it!
However, if anyone wishes to exercise their democratic rights they must also acknowledge that with them come responsibilities - one of which is to uphold the law whether one is seeking to enforce it or defend oneself against it.
The plain fact of the matter is that the blue badge scheme does not extend to off-street car parks and one must therefore ask why organisations seek to extend it beyond what the law permits? In applying the same standard as you would appear to have done there is no more moral rectitude in "stretching" the law to create psuedo blue badge bays than there is in parking in one without the badge.
By then taking things a further step still and actually seeking to enforce some form of "legal" remedy by clamping cars thus parked would suggest that any moral argument in favour of such enforcement was utterly lost.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

And there lies to path to vigilantism and taking the law into your own hands. In Scotland (and Jersey) private clamping is regarded as theft because the clamper is depriving the car owner the use of their car. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
