Selling on items

You guys are right. The thing is i am cluless as never sold anything on ebay only bought stuff of there. I was thinking making up some leaflets asking anyone had any unwanted items such as clothes, cds and dvds and so on. Post it in my local area, what do you think? I just dont know where to start or what to sell.0

i dont think that would work ...
if someone put a leaflet through your door saying 'if u have any spare items that i can sell and make money with and u wont see a penny of it' , would u give them anything?! if people are getting rid of things they tend to sell it themselves or give it to charity.
declutter your own stuff, you may even pick up a few bargains at car boot which will make an extra quid or two on ebay, but its all a gamble.
or if you are doing it for income, then declare yourself self employed and find a wholesalerA good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0 -
why not? What would you suggest?0

because they wont give u things to make u rich would they!! if theres a chance to make money from it they would do it themselves. or if not they would give it to charity no doubt. i certainly wouldnt just hand over a wad of dvds and clothes to some random neighbour so they could sell on ebay!!
like i said, sell your own things or pick up odd bits at car boots etc, or do it as a business with a wholesaler, but you really are expecting too much from thisA good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0 -
People keep doing this to us.victoriajayne1987 wrote: »if someone put a leaflet through your door saying 'if u have any spare items that i can sell and make money with and u wont see a penny of it' , would u give them anything?!
They say it's going to "Africa" but they are registered as a business.
They also use a hotmail address- yeah, really professional. :rolleyes:This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

well on the flyer im not making any flase claims. Just i dont know what stuff in my house is worth anything, i have two money boxes in good condition. One i highly doubt you cna find. I guess its a step/0

i think u need to rethink this. dont think of ebay as a shop. think of it as a car boot sale.
when u have lots of things in your house that u dont want anymore that need getting rid of that might make u a little spending money.
you arent going to make millions on ebay, especially just starting out. lower your expectations, try listing a few simple items, dvds clothes music etc, see how u get on
and btw, are you taking into account the cost of paper and ink to print these flyers that wont work?! be eating into any profit!!!A good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0 -
i might list two money boxes and just look around my house see what happens like you said.0

ok, and hold off the flyers. you could always ask friends or family if they dont want anything anymore, and offer to split the profits? more likely to get a little help from themA good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0
