Payday for me today so £200 paid off, leaving £890 to go. Waiting on some pennies from paypal and MS so hoping to chip a bit more away before next payday, which will keep the target in reach!

    :heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:
  • Hi all.

Have got £750 put aside to pay the Barclaycard. And have made a monthly payment of £50. Also, have paid off pennies here and there "tidying up" bank account. (That's somebody else's expression but I love it, I thought I was the only one who did that!) So, £800 paid off from £1400 total.

Trouble is, I'm in a slightly uncertain position workwise so I'm trying to put money aside "just in case" (don't look at my clothes speding challenge amount!). The Barclaycard is at 0% until April so it doesn't hurt to keep it in my offset account but I'm having to remember that it isn't really, actually, my money.

I'll be so pleased when the debt has gone. I'm sure that for most us it's a real psychological burden. I think it will be worth things being a bit tight for a while just to get rid of it.

I love this thread. It really keeps me focused and has helped me realise that I can actually pay off a debt in a relatively short time if I put my mind to it.

    Big thanks to Pap!
