  • Hi.

I've knitted little chickens. They have a hole in the bottom to hold a creme egg.

As I didn't have any yellow wool and didn't really want to buy any more as I have enough for now I turned them into chickens...

This is the link to the bogsite I got them from :

    OR

There is the fat hen from Prima.

I have called this one Maud. She is filled with rice and sits on my cookery books in the kitchen.

  • Ok so this is my plan for what I'm going to give as easter presents.

Flannel bunnies - http://own-two-hands.livejournal.com/46859.html (picked up some flannels 3 for £1 from wilkinsons yesterday)
Carrot - Orange millions in cello cone tied with green ribbon
Bunny poop - Either maltesers or chocolate covered raisins in a cello with a bag topper which I'm hoping to find on the web

So you have a bunny, it eats a carrots and then poops :P xx

I'm planning on flannel bunnies too.

Also going to make these easter baskets:

Not sure out of what though...

Also hoping to knit some easter bunnies but will have to do 7 of everything!! Plus chocolate eggs obviously.

I like the carrots and rabbit poo idea, I think the older ones will find it funny lol.

I have been knitting the little chicks for the past few years, and have been quite popular, I also make the face cloth bunnies, which this year instead of using a cream eagg, I have bought some egg shaped bath bombs, just something different, plus I'm going to do the carrots too, maybe with Jellybeans in a cello bag with a bit of green tissue paper in the top, they do look quite effective, although they might work out cheaper using orange millions.
  • i have bought some easter candy/chocolate lollipop molds and going to use milk chocolate and put some mini eggs in a cello cone!

Last year I put orange flavoured/colourd "millions" in cellophabe cones and then fastened them with bright green ribbon so they looked like carrots

Do you have an old fashioned sweet shop near you? Because there's one near where I live and you can get millions (not very old fashioned I know!) in all different colours for 80p per 100g and I'm thinking you'll get rather a lot for 100g! x
