Refund not gone through?

In November a take away charged my debit card twice in error due to technical problems with their card machine, and I noticed when I checked my bank statement. I have called back and after they had managed to work out how to refund the charge about a week later, did the refund by swiping my debit card again. I was given a copy of the refund receipt and everything appears to be in order, details are corrected, it says verified etc etc...
However over a month later the refund has still not appeared in my account. I have checked with my bank and they say the problem must be with the take away's bank, but the transaction has gone through ok looking at the receipt... Understandably the take away are as confused as I am about this - they have said they will contact their bank and get back to me, but this is taking a long time. What do I do next to get my money back?

TBH you're probably better off on the banking thread with this. Not really a onsumer rights problem; loads of bankers post there. Try that! HTH
