Asda 2 for 1 deal with a little extra!

Options
Just went to the Beckton Asda to get Asda's own washing up liquid.

Not sure if this works for all the range but i bought 2 Nectarine ones expecting to pay £1.

The receipt came out Asda Liquid 0.63 x 2 = 1.26 so the multibuy saving should be 0.26 but instead came out at 0.44.

Not a huge saving i know but if you already looking to buy some ....
Regards

i picked up some of this the other day, im a fairy user normally, but i was well impressed with this, i'll definately buy again.

the cheapest offer of fairy was 3 for £2 , so 2 of the asda ones for a £1 was a big saving ;D ;D ;D

Not sure if this would be for the better or not but technically if u went in and bought a lot i mean say a trolly full....... pay for it.... it's under 2 quid..... use the asda guarentee *goes to website for quote*

"What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for. "

Hey presto you should find yourself with a trolly FULL of washing up liquid, and actually make profit on the gift card refunds, only one snag, u have to spend the money back at asda. But I suppose everyone needs washing up liquid for xmas don't they? :D

I think they'd only give you one voucher as they'll just claim they're the same "product" ::)

I'm not so sure they would, depends how u play that one I bet. Plus it says "each product", not whether they are the same or not.

  • cheers Rush! ;D

nice idea about the asda guarantee but i shant risk it .. went to tesco too and walked by a guy who had a trolley full of those Splaz interative toys or something, and nothing else, and he tried to get away with them for free but got charged at the sale price instead .... he had over a dozen and i overheard the staff saying he trys the same trick all the time so they certainly remembered him ...

you can have too much of a good thing sometimes ... :P

All Asda christmas stock reduced 75%..so i bought 6 sets of xmas lights priced on shelf at 5.98 each,at till i was charged 1.94 each, well i am not a professor of maths but at 6 pounds each 75% would reduce to 1.50,so must be wrong!.....computor says NO!.....Shudupp........the very original pre-xmas price was over 7 pounds, then reduced before xmas to 5.98...this could explain it....but the sale marker said all prices reduced by 75%........confusing.....Asda to their credit reduced the 5.98 by 75% to 1.45.....and gave me a 2 pounds voucher,so i purchased a further 10 sets, till charged 1.94 each....so back to customer service and a further refund was made,i did not ask for another voucher and did not expect to get one,but was quite happy with my saving.Cutting to the chase it seems the same item bought in quantities only qualifies for one voucher......still,i like Asda, they keep Tesco in check!
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!

The sale items are the best. I was undercharged 1p on an item and thought well 'cause it's under £2 i may aswell claim the £2 gift card and have the item for free. After having to politley but forcfully put my point across to the manager and the assistant (they both tried to fob me off) I was issued with a refund

As I was walking out the assistant mouthed under her breath "scrounging !!!!!!" unfortunately I didnt see this but my bf did. Can't wait to see her next time.

BTW Am I right in thinking that the reason they offer this gift card is because if I reported it to trading standards they could be fined £1000.00 ?

  • if they undercharge you then you in theory can just get the £2 gift card

asda do not have a policy of giving free items

if they overcharge it is to refund the difference and give you a £2 gift card per product not item

i don't know whether that's true about trading standards but if you think about it you are doing them a favour by checking the price on the item you bought....they may have lost more than £2 in revenue on that item if you hadn't pointed it out
