    Hi all,

Yesterday I received a letter kindly informing me that Roxburghe had taken 'responsibility' of a debt from Talk Talk for £90 and ALL routes must now be through them and payment must be immediate!

I called Roxburghe and an absolute rude and invasive man continued to ask for our income and outgoings etc! WHAT? I of course told him that I would not be giving this information (or words to that effect...). He then explained that I had left AOL mid contract so must pay up. I had not and on further enquirey, it turned out that AOL had entered me into a contract via an email which I hadn't seen or acknowledged.

I told said Roxburghe 'man' that it was in dispute so not to expect immediate payment to which he became 'louder' so I hung up on him.

Luckily, I saw on many forums and threads that Roxburghe sometimes acquire these debts automatically from big companys so contact them via customer services (:pTalk Talk 0800 5428073:p). I explained my situation and the Talk Talk rep was really sympathetic and listened to me patiently. He then said it was unfair what happened to me and wrote the debt off there and then.

Well worth giving them a ring as this proves you may not need to pay and the system isn't always right plus it was a free phone number for a change so why not?

I just hope Roxburghe call now so I can laugh down the line at them...sorry, revenge is a nasty streak but they bring it out of you.

I hope this post helps other people to keep hold of their hard earned money and defend against the DCA bullys. :)
;)You're not alone in debt ;)
  • Hi I had a letter from Roxburghe about a parking ticket from Excel Parking that I was supposed to have recived in June. I had not recived a ticket on the car and had not recived one in the post.

Its a company car and my colleauges that have recived ticket were told about them inorder to make discounted payments. I have not been contacted which makes me think there wasn't one sent.

Being a company car the registered keeper is my employer so they must of been contacted to provide my name and home address.

The worse thing is that because I have to log all my expenses I have the ticket I brought that day so I'm unsure how I would of even had a fine my only guess because it is an auto-mated plate detection system is that I am a victiam of a system error.

I'm stunnd by this letter I haven't the money to pay and don't want anything against my credit rating.
