Ipod/Itunes issue

Like many, I had an issue with the Itunes & quicktime. I eventually found out that once downloaded, you then need to install, and this only worked if everything else was turned off.
So install for quick time and itunes looked as though it worked. But when I click on the Itunes symbol to allow me to access it and set up the ipod, I get a new message:
The folder "itunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "my music" folder.
But nothing is there.
Any ideas anyone?
Should I uninstall everything and then re-start, now I supposedly think I know what to do :rotfl:

I would, my daughter had an iPod Touch for Christmas and the iTunes folder is c:/users/her name/My Music/iTunes.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Ok, so now a few days into trying to load itunes, and still a nightmare. Downloaded Quickplayer, and can access that. Downloaded and ran Itunes, said it worked ok. But when I click on it, I just get the same error £the folder itunes cannot be found or created, and is required. The defult location for this folder is inside the MyMusic folder".
Any ideas at all anyone? Is this just a Music folder on the C drive?0 -
Ok I have found the following link, which explains how to reset the My music" folder, however the My Music folder is no longer listed in my special folders. Any ideas how to recover this?
