I've just been looking at 'internet options' and in there is a Windows Security icon...click on that and it says Firewall on
There is also a separate Windows Firewall icon...click on that and it has a dot in the 'off ' box (saying not recommended)
can anyone please unconfuse me

do you have a security suite such as kaspersky, eset, mcafee, norton or f-secure installed?
if you do, and the suite has an enabled firewall, then leave it as it is.0 -
