Broken Acer Aspire keyboard

Hi,
Can anyone give me advice on best way to proceed with this?
I have had the laptop since October this year, and my cat has jumped on the keyboard, panicked and lifted up and snapped a few of the keys with it's claws!
I emailed Acer and they have advised this is a chargeable fault, so won't be sending it off to them. I bought it from Argos home delivery so will look into that a bit more (does anyone have any experience of returning stuff for repair / exchange through Argos?).
The buttons won't re-attach properly, and the central ENTER key does not work now.
Does anyone else have any suggestions, if I can avoid getting a replacement that would be good, quite a lot of documents on this computer now.
Thank you.

No vendor will repair a damaged PC under warranty....have you thought of using a wireless or even wired keyboard?0

What model is it?
Aspire 5536.
I do have an old wireless keyboard from my old desktop, but I can just about get away with using this one, as the only actual 'broken' button is the central ENTER one, and this model has a number keypad on the right and I can use the ENTER button there instead.0 -

Thank you!
I never even considered ebay.
Worth giving it a go, even if I can't do it, bound to know someone who can.
Once again, many many thanks.
