The allworks Test- only incapacity claims

I'd like to know if people who don't qualify for Incapacity benefit and get it made up of income support. Do they have to have one of these all works test? Just that I know someone who has been on Income support with the disability premium and has never mentioned having to go for one of these medicals?

I got ill at school so when I officially left school I started claiming. As I hadn't worked I didn't have NI credits to qualify of Incapacity Benefit so was able to claim Income Support. After 6 months or a year they add a Disability Premium on to the Income Support.

It is Income Support on th grounds of Incapacity, so people do have to fill in IB50s, attend medicals etc..... I have had to do so.

I had to go for a medical when I first claimed IS for long term illness (I've never worked so no NI credits for IB). Was easy for me, as when I started to tell the doctor my problems she said I shouldn't be there and since then I've not needed another medical since then (that was about 2 years ago).
