I would not use it for secure transactions like banking or online shopping
get your friends hubby to do it if you wish but it is easy to do if you follow the guide , each step has pictures showing you what you will see....be brave

Thanks I wont see work friend until next Tuesday and not sure her hubby will be able to get across until one eve next week?
I wont use it for banking/shopping but would my netbook be ok for that - uses same router - is it just this computer that is at risk?
Does this programme just delete Norton?
It wont affect any photos/music/bookmarks?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help with this

Hi just spoken to parents as Its their computer really - going to try to get hold of friend tomorrow see if her hubby might be able to help out - Its snowing here so might not be a poss for a bit.
Think Id rather have someone with more knowledge than me as whenever I start trying to fix things I end up doing something daft like cutting the internet off!
Il tell people here not to use it for anything secure until Its sorted - I can try using the netbook for any shopping!
Thanks again for all your help so far - Its great to have the help/support here:T
Heading offline for a bit now - all this looking at the computer since this afternoon has given me a headache:rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
