Setting Up a Business for Rental Properties/Selling

What benefit would there be for having a Limited company for my 6 rental properties? in terms of tax, profit etc?

Also if I buy a vintage company(3 years old with accounts) would that make it easier to obtain business overdrafts, business loans, business credit cards etc?

My houses are worth approximately £400/450k depending on valuers! and my rental income is £2500 even though two rooms are vacant which would take it to £3200

I was just weighing up options as I know my rental properties don't make £57k per annum for vat.

I was also looking at starting to buy and renovate & then sell on using the limited company as a tax vehicle?

I will speak to an accountant obviously but I was looking for other developers to answer really

  • I think you need an accountant because going from
I ask for Non Status as I have a job sales rep only commision only and until recently never paid a penny in my account due to the bankruptcy, even now I only put about £100 in a week. I get £350 per week min sometimes up to £500. I work for a company who pay cash for adverts in a magazine.

I am a FTB in my early 30's and have rented since I was 18 mainly short hold tenant never staying more than one year at any place, but always on the voters meaning I am traceable.

I went bankrupt in 2002 and all the info dropped off 2008 but there are still some late payments, defaults etc even though I was told this would be removed. Alot of the companies did not update my default until 2005 so therefore as a result still show going into 2010! 8 years after! work that one.
