Tassimo Discs/pods

I tend to heat the milk in a microwave first (unless i want to drink it straight away)
I shop and order online as the range is better - the petit Dejenuir(Spelling?) is a nice breakfast one as its 195ml as opposed to the 150ml of a lot of the crema's & Starbucks.
Kenco Decaff prices vary by 50p in the supermarkets with Sainsburys currently cheapest at £3.28 last week0 -
I've always been put off these things and seen them as just expensive and wasteful (all those plastic pods to throw away) or am I missing the point? I guess it aims to fill the gap between a proper cup of coffee (bean to cup) and instant? I'm still not sure I like the idea of being locked in to buying pods, even if the machines are cheap. Maybe someone will enlighted me!You're either Witham or against'em0

The range of Pods is great -especially if you order online - when i had a filter or grinder i could only have 2/3 choices, now over 10!
The pods are now recyclable, they send you a box with a postage label on so all we have to do is take to post office and each pod also raises 2p donation to a charity of your choice.
We dont drink much wine etc and this works out a lot cheaper than a glass of wine or a bottle of beer.0 -
Personally I find the Nescafe Dolce Gusto machine much better. Good range of coffees, available pretty much everywhere, and the temperature is much hotter compared to the tassimo.
Young moneysaver in the making

The Bosch Tassimo produces great drinks and there is a massive selection of coffees as well as a couple of chocolates and some teas/fruit teas. The Starbucks coffee is great as are the Kenco and Carte Noire coffee selections
One of the old Braun Tassimo problems used to be lack of properly hot drinks however the Bosch one we have produces a proper hot cup of coffee hot enough that you can't drink it straight away so can't really see why you would want it any hotter!
We have signed up for Terracycle who "upcycle" the discs so we are not adding to the landfill0 -
So, debate aside, anyone know where some offers are at the moment?0

You can keep a quick check on the main 4 supermarkets via www.supermarket.co.uk but haven't seen any offers recently. Guess so many people bought them in the offers before Xmas they don't need to run any offers at the moment
The classic blend decaf is cheaper on tassimo site (providing you order over £30) than Asda, Sainsbury or Ocado who don't apprently stock it.0 -
saw them in poundland the other day worth a look maybe0
