Need inspiration for a holiday destination

Hello
I am looking to book a holiday for end of May beginning June for a week maybe 2 and need some inspiration as there is so much choice.
We have 4 children aged 2yrs - 12 yrs so would like to keep flights down to 3 maybe 4 hours each way. We have a maximum budget of £3500 for flights and accomodation and would love to get all inclusive or half board too if possible with that price.
The only other thing important is we would prefer to be in 1 room / apartment rather then 2 hotels rooms.
We like a nice beach, warm weather and family activities to do. We usually holiday in the UK or Salou in Spain so dont have high expectations - a holiday is what you make it :rotfl:
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

We have been on thomson familyclub holidays he past 2 years and have just booked a 3rd for this year. Not sure how much they would be for a family of 6 but you can book a flight with a budget airline and hotel direct with thomson so you still get all the activities and kids clubs thrown in if that would be cheaper. I do know a lot of the familyclub properties have 2 bedroms and sleep 6 so you could have everyone in one apartment. My kids are 6 and 3 and until they are much older will be sticking with familyclub (or similar holifays with other operators) first choice do similar holidays but don't have as much choice. Hope that helps.0

Hi,
I have been in travel for many years and think these suggestions may help.
* try and book low cost airline yourself, Easyjet, ryanair, bmi baby, etc, from your local airport.
* If you have never been before I would try either alcudia (amazing 7mile beach) in Majorca or es cana in Ibiza, both are very family friendly, nice beachs, good accom to choose from and 2 and half hour flight from uk
* Once you have found flights to suit, then search for hotels or apts using one of the many sites (alpha beds, expedia, etc) or alternatively go on tripadvisor.com and look at accomodation reports first and then search your dates through tripadvisor. Either way you should definately use trip advisor to give you an idea of accom.
* Then you can either book car hire to pick up at airport and drive to accom and then you will have the car for your stay or you could book transfers online (again many sites offer this). If you do decide to get a car, then driving on either Island is very easy.......good luck

With a budget as big as that, have you considered renting a villa privately? Have a look on ownersdirect.com.0

Thank you all for the replies.
We have decided to look at Majorca and in particular Alcudia Tyson2 suggested and we have also found a lovely accomodation to stay in Sa Coma too which has excellant reviews on trip advisor and the booking website too :T
Thanks for the help peeps. Will be counting the days to holiday now
