hello all, as i am a newbie to this site, you may well be aware of what i am about to tell you, i went to the NatWest to pay my first Npower electric bill as advised by Npower, as this was my first bill since moving into my new flat i took there advise, well imagine my suprise when nat west told me that yes they would except my payment but would have to charge me £10.00 for cover charges, the bill was £4.53, i explained that i do not bank with them or any other bank (the result of my divorce ). they said it was the only way that i could do it thru them. i left uttering unrepeatable words and wondering how i was going to pay this bill. as i was passing my local Post Office, i called in and asked them what charges i would have to pay, for paying my electric bill thru them, its free, no charge, zit, zero, oh joy of joys, there is a god, i left the Post office a happy man and wondering just who it is that wants to close all the local Post offices, i will have a drink on new years eve with money saved from the Post office, a happy new year to all except the greedy banks:beer:

You don't normally have to pay any fees if you pay a bill at any branch of a bank you hold your account at.
Nor usually if you pay in directly to a branch of a bank the supplier banks at."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
