Silent calls from 01702 226590

Silent calls from 01702 226590 (also 01702226590).

Had a silent call from this number on my mobile today. Checked online, and whocallsme.com lists as a possible insurance or claims company-related caller.

Dialed the number back from a landline, and got a "the number you have dialed has not been recognised"-type message, so it's a spoof caller ID (CLI).

  • it's a southend number but other than that, no idea.

We have Aviva (Norwich union) in Southend. Not sure of any other insurance co's though.

Hope that's of some use to you.

  • Well, Lisa, I think it's time for me to wait until their next call and find out who they are :) Thanks for the tip, though.

I just tried calling the number myself and it started ringing. Didn't leave it any longer as I didn't know who I was calling!!

If they have anything good to say, they would call back.
  • Just say your registerd with the Telephone Preference Service Register here
    It should stop then.

Yeah, I do know - I wrote it both ways so that it can be picked up by Google searches for either number format.

I need to get a human at the other end of the phone before I can tell them that (and my landline and mobile are both TPS registered), but so far, the calls have been silent.
