IPOD problem??

Hi all i have a problmewith my ipod. There are 2 second gaps between some of the tracks that i need to remove.....now i know i could reburn the cds in nero and remove the 2 sec gap then and then reinstall on ipod but i wondered if anyone knew of a way to do it on the ipod and so saving masses of work of reburning and updating etc???:mad: :mad:

Hi Hardm2000,

I'm not a major itunes user, but under edit/preferences/playback(tab)there is
a slider to alter the crossfade between tarcks. Setting this to zero removes the gaps on playback. I have not tested it but i would guess that updating your ipod from itunes with the new settings would do the trick....unless anyone knows different!

True gapless playback on the Ipod has been asked for since the very first one came out...

Another work-around is to join tracks when you rip a CD in Itunes (select the set, then choose Advaned-Join Tracks from the menu in Itunes). The joined set will be a single file on the Ipod and play right through without gaps.

For some music, opera etc., you may end up with each Act being a single file which isn't ideal but better than gaps.
