This is the risk of placing so much money in a single share. Especially a share that is in an industry that is in big decline.
    I disagree..
In the physical distribution sense, yes it is in decline. The industry is reacting to that though..digital distribution will be the future. There are already signs of that, such as the Kindle and the other variations which are around. Look up the news on Kindle purchases this christmas, as well as the reaction of publishers/newspapers to the rumoured release of the Apple iSlate....
  • Have a look on here as suggested above http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:FUTR.L&display=discussion&it=le, not many comments over the last 6 months which isnt a good sign! Iv never invested in media companies so cant comment, but bought into a mining company which i am down about 1k at the moment but i am 100% confident within 1-2yrs once they start mining the sp will rocket and understand the industry, plus went to the last agm and chatted to the ceo who has a proven track record.

Futures PLC when you bought it sounds like a solid company but now its become a penny share and out the ftse index anything can happen to the price and i certainly cant see any recovery to previous highs. Personally id just leave it and hope it somehow doesnt lose you as much when you sell them.

Now is a good time to buy into the likes of rbs, barc, lloyds, aviva etc all solid ftse100 stock with potential of 100% increases in the near future.

had a look here, Reading this as hiding declining sales figures. The magazines are a luxury item IMO expensive in a recession and therefore readers have fled. Don't get me wrong I like future publications but it competing with free on line reviews and content and I haven't bought any for a while now. In Feb 2010 they release full audit figures, a couple of brokers saying buy target price low 20's but could be house brokers alternatively they could be right and be oversold by 10-25%. Mmm tough call and only you can decide how long to wait or if you need some money out soon. Good luck to you in 2010.
