Churchill - choice of repair location?

Do Churchill deal solely with whoever they choose or do I have a choice of where I take my car to get repaired? Personally, I would prefer to deal with my local Toyota dealer rather than a third party repair place, but I've no idea if they would allow this or just go for what may be the cheapest option.

Our car was hit and quite badly damaged and our insurer tried to tell us to go to one of their 'approved' garages, luckily I had seen their workmanship (a loose term) on a friends car which was quite frankly appauling. We argued the fact the car is under warranty and unless they had another approved repairer the car would be going back to the dealer, which we did. I subsequently looked into this 'bullying' tactic used by some insurers to use garages on their approved list and they cannot make you use them and you are within your rights to take your car to a garage/bodyshop of your choice.Unsecured debt £0

to Op with Churchill they do have recommended repairers but your not obliged to use them, if you do use them you get 5 years gaurantee on all repairs carried out adn its usually the case that work is authorised over the phone normally within an hour. if you choose to use another repairer then the gaurantee doesnt apply and time-frames might be longer. Check how long you have been with them and what (if any) type of replacement vehicle you have - if you have been with them a while you might have the standard replacement vehicle which basically only gives you a vehicle for certain if you use a recommended repairer - if you are a newer customer or one that has chosen to upgrade to the gauranteed higher car or gauranteed higher car plus, you can take you vehicle where you like and still get the replacement for up to 14 or 21 days depending on which of the two options you have paid for and you still get the replacement even if your's is written off0
