Overpay Barclaycard by BT and refund

Hi,

I've logged on to egg this morning and have noticed I am eligible for a promo deal of 1.9% till 07/2010.

I have a £3000 limit and would like to use this to pay off my barclaycard which only has £500.

The thing is, i need £1000 for something for only a short while.

Would it be possible to BT £1500 onto barclaycard and then get the extra £1000 transferred to my bank account?

I don't think egg transfer money to your bank account like MBNA.

Am i missing something?

Egg might let you transfer the money to your bank.

Yes, they don't offer a service where they pay into your bank account for you to spend but will offer an "overdraft transfer facility" - basically the same thing.

So I've asked for the money to be transferred to my current account to cover the "overdraft"
