Engineer Broke Boiler

Options
This is not my problem, its a problem my dad is having.

They had a gas engineer out from ideal boilers on Christmas eve to replace a part. I doing so, they broke broke a part of the boiler (never brute force plumbing and the like!!). He did tell us that he had done it, and that had it not been christmas eve he would have been able to fix it and that we should call on the Monday and that they would be able to come in on Tuesday to fix it.

Now where it gets fun is, he has now told ideal that the boiler is completely messed inside and that it needs a total replacement.

He has called up and they are not really speaking to him at all as to what is going to happen

Does anyone have any advice as to what action should be taken next?

Thank you in advance!

  • ask ideal to send a different engineer with a manager, if that does not work i would write to them at customer complaints and send it recorded delivery.
what work has been done? What part did the engineer break?
