Hi H8Money!! The first step is always the hardest, so well done on posting!!
Once you have prepared a SOA it will help clear your mind as you will know EXACTLY what you have coming in and what needs to be paid out. When you learn to budget things it stops the anxiety and the worry of thinking you've forgotten to pay something & a nasty bill is around the corner!!
I budget for EVERYTHING now, and insist that my flatshare bills are paid monthly rather than quarterly as I like to know where I stand.
You can get some fab independent financial advice on here, so stay away from your IFA for the time being
!!
