in Credit cards
Hi,
I am 19 years of age and I did a foolish thing when i turned 18, I got a credit card.
I have a current account that my wage gets paid into with an overdraft and also a bills account with a overdraft.
I am in desperation to get rid of my credit card and i was wanting to know the best 0% on balance transfers card to apply for (The one im least likely to get rejected for!)
Please help, it's now making me ill.
Credit Card Limit is : £650 at the moment
Overdraft 1: £250
Overdraft 2: £200

What's your credit rating like? Have you missed any payments in the last year? Are you a registered voter?
Your debt is quite small, but what is your income? I appreciate it may be a mountain in comparison.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Its ok i think. Not missed any payments on my credit card and i am a registered voter. My income is £900 a month but rent costs £500, then bills!
I know it's not a lot of debt but it's a massive weight on my mind all the time, I have days when I find it hard to eat because i hate owing money.

How annoying.
What did it say, calculation wise? Give us some raw numbers to work with even if you can't paste the whole lot.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

What's all the fuss about? No need to transfer balances to places where you'll not be able to afford either and get yourself in a mess.
Sort your finances with what you have ie pay off the debt.0 -
That was my eventual plan, Jemma. But the OP appears to have vanished.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

You can post the SOA but you just need to remove the web address at the bottom Charlotte. It will let you post the rest for people on here to advise.
Your balance isn't huge but of course you will pay off quicker if its 0% - might be worth looking here for possible options - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards
That said the best way to clear debt is to increase your income and decrease your living costs and luxuries.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

If I transfer my balance to an 0% on balance transfers card it gives me a little more time to pay the debt off, also I wont be getting charges interest.
I have been trying to think of ways to increase my income but the only part time jobs at the moment are pole/lap dancers! And I wouldn't put myself through that for a few hundred pounds...
Any ideas?
