I phoned them and was told it takes 2 days for the process to be completed. I explained that I had passed that already, so they changed it to 2 working days, and since that has passed they agreed it looked odd and would now 'try' and fast track my application.

The cut off point is £9.50 or thereabouts, so if you sell most of your stuff at less than that including postage then a micro account is the way to go.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I was at work so replied via Iphone, saying I specifically applied for a micropaymkents account, AND this was very poor service but I would fill in change process when I arrived home
At 1600 I got another email confirming my account had been changed
