BRMB have recorded a sound somewhere in Birmingham; figure out what it is, and we'll give you £10,000.

We'll play once an hour throughout the day - so listen in for your chance to win.

Then, if you think you've got a good idea, text the word SOUND followed by a space and your name to 87867 when we tell you to for your chance to be a winner.

If you register with BRMB here: http://www.brmb.co.uk/els/elssignupfrm.asp

you can listen to the sound online here: http://www.brmb.co.uk/Article.asp?id=1652038

and check all the previous wrong guesses! http://www.brmb.co.uk/Article.asp?id=1652104

And I thought I was the only comper who used cereal box postcards :rotfl:plus my orange dot :rotfl:

Think I'll try the cereal box idea thanks! Been doing postcards since I joined but only ever won a dvd so starting to worry Im wasting money especially since the text prizes can be very tempting. I buy a pack of small blank postcards from Rymans but does anyone think size matters? Or bright colours? I can only draw smiley flowers and stars so thats the only decoration I manage to put on! I know its down to luck as usual but just thought it was worth asking.

I use anything I can get my hands on! :rotfl:

I try to 'tailor' them to the comp in the vain hope they might stand out i.e if its a prize for a pet I'll send it on something doggie related like a Bonio box, or a children's one on a kids cereal bar box. I like to think the 'eco' type comps will be impressed by my recycling skills! :)

I've tried allsorts - free postcards from the cinema and library are good - usually very bright and eyecatching. I use the ones pre-printed from Vistaprint when I'm feeling lazy and when I've got some on offer.

I do find with the homemade ones, that I tend to cut them a little larger than standerd sized postcards ;). Oh, and M, I have tried using a yellow dot, but not sure if any of this makes any difference whatsoever.

Personally, I imagine the likes of Data Solutions Centre simply input the details to a computer then draw a random winner, in which case it doesn't make a jot of difference what your card looks like. I've always wondered this. Don't imagine big orgs still have a giant hat to draw from, and ones where there is dual entry method like postcard and text, surely they must upload the data otherwise how would they choose which 'hat' to draw them from?
