  • That is one DVD sold and I've made £14. Its well I'm easily pleased. :rotfl: Just need shot of the other one now.

I've noticed that my £1 cheque to Mint for a CCA has been cashed so hopefully will hear something back on that soon.
  • Received charges information today on OH's Egg card. £208 plus £45.99 interest. Reclaim letter already in the post.

  • Guy coming to look at my tank tomorrow night so with a little bit of luck I'll get £100 for it. :j

Still trying to get rid of a DVD and have a hoover to list over the next few days.

Will be paying off tax credits once a money transfer from one account to another has taken place.

Really must get entering more comps to win stuff to sell but its hard to find the time at the minute.
  • Received an offer of £47 from Mint on the bank charges. Don't think so - letter 2 going on Tuesday.

Sold the tank which got me £100 :j

Hoover and DVD on ebay but not sold yet. :(

Had an MSE weekend. Saturday used a voucher we were given for a new restaurant - meal for 5 - cost zero.

Today a friend had tickets to Sealife - admission for 5 - cost zero.

Thinking of changing the car. £60 per week on petrol is just getting beyond a joke. Wouldn't mind if we actually went a decent distance in it. :(

    Couple of developments today:

Letter from Egg saying they wouldn't be repaying OH's charges. Letter 2 will be sent to them tomorrow. :rotfl:

Letter from CDUK who were the DCA for the Egg debt. They have sent back the £1 cheque requesting the CCA and said they are no longer dealing with the debt and to deal with the original creditor. Not sure what this means. Hadn't paid the debt this month so does it mean that Egg have taken it back as payment hasn't been received or does it mean that CDUK won't chase it as they don't have a copy of the CCA. I'm under no illusions about the CCA as I know Egg will produce one pretty sharpish.

Relisted the items on ebay but so far no joy. :(

Child home with a note about a school trip costing £270. By hook or by crook I'll make sure he can goes. I know some would frown on that given the debt but you only have one childhood and I'll make sure the kids enjoy theirs. So will be looking at ways to gather up this money. Will be entering loads of competitions to try to win stuff to sell to make the money.

Also going to set up a seller account on Amazon. For years when I have won books that aren't my cup of tea I've given them to the church/school for sales and then watched them sell them for the princely sum of 10p. The time has come to sell these myself and reap the rewards. Other people are probably buying my books at the sales and selling them themselves.

Just jotting a few notes for myself to remind me of what I need to do tomorrow:

    1. Phone Tax Credits and confirm total overpayment outstanding. - Done

    2. Repay Tax Credits in full. - Done

    3. Cancel bill payment option on online banking for Tax Credits payments. I just love cancelling bill payments and DDs. :rotfl:- Done

    4. Send letter 2 charges claim letter to Egg. - Done

    5. Open an Amazon seller account
  • Well thats it - the tax credit overpayment has been repaid £3211.46.  They couldn't even knock off the 46p. Its gone though and that means £50 less per month going out. :j :j

Letter 2 on the charges claim away to Egg.
