It's a bit of a catch-up between friends after not seeing each other for a while so we would prefer somewhere a bit more slow-food where you can chat and catch up.Please call me 'Pickle'

just opened in the city centre, I've been to one of their other restaurants and it was very good. The prix fixe is good value.

very nice, not sure if there are any offers on though.
depends what your budget is and what kind of food you'd be looking for. The all you can eat chinese on portland street is very nice.
I've not seen many vouchers floating round for anywhere at the moment, there are a few offers http://www.citylife.co.uk/restaurants/offers/0 -

Cheers, tiny! Ego has serious potential and I bet none of us have been there before, either. I need to see what the others want to eat, but that's a definite contender. £10-15 is more than reasonable for decent food, so I'll send a few texts tomorrow morning and see what the others say. Thanks! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

Buffet city (all you can eat chinese) not as cheap as Mc D's but good value as lots of variety and you can eat till your belly bursts!0

Las Iguanas on Deansgate is very nice, good sized portions too. They do a special till 6.30pm, starter, main and a drink (beer, wine or soft drink) for less than £10.
If you don't mind going down Canal Street, I have heard Velvet is very nice, they are doing two pizzas and a bottle of wine for £16.
There's also a new Chinese Buffet opened on the corner of Piccadilly and Portland Street, cheap and cheerful £4.95 all you can eat, large choice of food too but avoid the fried sausages, they are cheap but definitely not cheerful.0
