Hiya,

I wasnt gonna start this properly til Monday but seen as I had ingredients, decided to experiment with HM pizza's, To say ive never made dough before it aint too bad, probly not perfect but for a 1st try Im happy, We've (kids and I) made individual ones they loved putting there own toppings on, so decided to ditch the dining room table tonight and they are happily eating pizza "they made" while watching the simpsons.

:j well done Jen, its great that the kids are joining in, your making healthy eating fun for them, good for you. I'm starting a bit of a grocery challenge myself, well its more a store cupboard thing, as I want to use up as much as I can before I go shopping, so far I think I've got 9 days covered, where I only need to buy fresh stuff like veg, milk etc. Wish me luck.

    Well done!
I did a home made pizza myself for the first time yesterday and it was yummy. Cost us next to nothing to make since we had all the ingrediense at home. My husband liked it so much he said he never gonna order at Dominos again.
    Feels good doesn't it :)
Hope you keep it up, it's well wort it

My son didn't really like pizza until we did it from scratch. We had a voucher for a free Dominos quite a while ago. He ate a bit of it complaining it wasn't as nice as ours - and it wasn't. The fact your kids are keen is great.

moggins- Was only waiting til Monday as it is shopping day but after looking through cupboards I can make alot more that I thought.

bulchy- It is great letting the kids join in, but I hope they dont want to help everyday.....only kidding (I think) lol

greenpixey- Yes it does feel good, dd1 (who tends to be the fussy 1) tried her hardest to complain but still cleared her plate!!

misty- Domino's??? whats that then? *she says while throwing take away menu's out* never gonna dial-a-pizza again, or any other take away for that matter!

I thought this might be hard work, but it isnt so bad, especially with the kids on board.... next on the agenda is some kind of housework routine  doubt the kids will be with me on this one somehow!

I do a Pizza and popcorn night if my wee cousins stay over - they love it!

Homemade popcorn is soooooo much cheaper than crisps I've actually invested in a popcorn maker as we eat it so often. Until recently I made it in a saucepan. It's a healthy alternative to crisps and waaay cheaper for days out and packed lunches etc.

It's lovely your kids intro to ol' style has been a really positive one - means they are more likely to go along with you as you make other changes.

    Good luck!
