Missing cat-advice -trapping advice now needed

hi all,
i have always had a fleece over it since i put it there.
i also put some newspaper on the base,she will not go to the back of the trap,on friday i moved the little dish which you can clip on to the side in the hope of gaining her trust.
i put one tiny piece of sausage on the paper leading in,then a few more bits and her dried food in the dish,nothing has gone from the dish,only the piece on the paper.
this happens all the time,i have tried not leaving anything on the paper and just at the back in the tray,just loose on the floor,but nothing.
the lady saw her go in one day and come back out,she said if it was remote she would have caught her!
we are nearly 2 months in on this now and it is really hard and frustrating! to say the least, i just want her home.
i am now going to microwave sardines to take round,if i ever catch her i think i might write a book of how to catch an elusive cat!!
also my friend had the trap i am using,but you should be able to get them from your local cats protection or rescue centre.
heljack,i hope you have sucess soon,they get confused and frightened and don't act how they would normally, i think a trap might be good for you,don't set it for a few days till food is going from there and be prepared that you might catch another cat first!
