Help regarding credit reports and acceptance

I just recently opened a current account with abbey national and on same time i applied for abbey credit card .
so today i got a letter that we cant issue credit card coz of your credit check with Experian...( but then why did they opened my cuurent account) but i got barclay card 4 days ago ......

so i checked my credit file with Equifax and experian ... equifax seem to be clear with one wrong linked address but i phoned them up and sort that out...but on my experian file there was 7 linked address and holding up 3 current accounts..... with different date of birth but name is same...
which is un beleiveable coz i never had have a account with any bank and this is my ist account with any bank ...
i dont know how to sort this problem with experian , they seems like bit harsh and said to me we will investigate it and send u letter etc...

i dont know wot to do ....how to resolve this matter, any suggestion please ! why these companies are holding up 2 different record.
