Hi everyone,
I have been on Option1 Broadband with BT for the last 5/6 years, and have never been told before today that I have used 7 out of my 10mb allowance this month. The only thing I've done different is to download 2 music albums. Not understanding the finer details, can it be that this is what has pushed me towards my limit?
I am also thinking that it is perhaps time to change my supplyer, as I have sky already for T.V., have any of you got opinions on how cheap and efficient the sky package for t.v., broadband and phone are.
All points of view, and advice on which is the best supplyer would be appreciated.

you only get ten mb no wonder youve gone near your limit
no but if its 10 gb limit
do you watch youtube videos online that takes up alot of your usage and lots dont realise also if you used programmes such as limewire or torrents they upload as well as download so can use a fair whack of your usage

whoops!! yes of course I meant 10gb. I very rarely watch anything on youtube, and have never used the sites you speak about.
I do talk to my mate on msn most evenings, and do occasionaly upload photos to Photobucket so that I can post them on to sites like this one, and another forum site that I use regularly....this month I have uploaded 4 photos.Feb. G.C. From Jan 26th £350.00

A typical MP3 album is about 50 - 100 MB, so I doubt it is that that has pushed your usage up.0

I think it is secure..is there someway I can find out? I did sign up for FON, Bt's 'sharing ' facility..as I've never been able to find anywhere where I can use it, when we are out and about, perhaps I should 'unsubscribe' . I never thought about it being possible that someone could use my allowance like that. Do you think this might be the reason??

i use fon and its not overusing my usage

Why would BT be concerned that you have used 7 of your 10 allowed gbs? If you'd used 11 that would be a different matter

Yes I realise that (I have the same contract on my computer in our flat) but 7/10ths of permitted usage is hardly on the brink is it? Unless you still have about half your contract month to go. I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
