Copy of Agreement

Hi Guys,

I have previously written to Lloyds TSB requesting a copy of my alleged agreement and provided payment of £1 for said agreement. All they sent me ion return was a document which looked like it was printed out from WORD and their current terms and condition and a blank box for a signature.

They claim that they do not need to provide a signed copy of agreement and reassure me that they wouyld not have given me a credit card if they had not seen sight of a signature.

Firstly surely they can not claim that I have signed something without providing proof? Also by law do they have to have my signature to make the alleged debt enforceable?

I have previously been making token payment to them, but since they have been unable to provide a signed true copy of the alleged agreement surely they can not enforce the debt??

Please help!

Many Thanks

There was a recent court case where it was established that what you have received is acceptable and will not make any agreement you have with the bank unenforceable.
If someone else has used the credit card in your name then you need to go to the police and report it as fraud - unless of course you are trying to find a loophole for not repaying a debt you have incurred.

You describe your credit agreement as an 'alleged' agreement?

Does this mean that you definitely did not sign an agreement or that you know you did but are now blanking that out of your memory for some reason?

Who spent the money on the card - you or someone else?

For your information, the days of people attempting to worm out of their credit card obligations on technicalities appears to be numbered.
